  We installed a mailbox on July 2 at our cabin in Sevierville since our son will be occupying it for an extended period of time. I sent Priority Mail several days later which was never delivered. When I called with the tracking number, the person who answered said the carrier said the box was too far off the road and it was taken back to the post office. Our son picked it up and thought the problem was resolved after speaking with someone. After several other pieces of mail were returned, I called again. (getting someone to answer is an accomplishment in itself - most days it's off the hook from opening to closing time) I was told that a mailbox could not be installed without the postal service flagging where it needed to be. I said I had never heard of this but if they would tell us where it needed to go, we would move it. When no one showed up, our son went by to ask what we needed to do. He was told they would look into it. After a week of still not hearing back from them and no "flag" where the mailbox should be, I went in to speak to the postmaster. After waiting for over 20 minutes, the very nice, frazzled gentleman up front took my number and promised the postmaster would call me back that day. When I had not received a call, I went back at 4 PM, only to be told at 4:30 that the postmaster, Bryan C Poarch had no intention of speaking to me. As I understand it, he left knowing that I was waiting. After six weeks of non delivery, I am at a loss at how to get this issue resolved. This is the most poorly run post office I have ever encountered. This was confirmed to me by several people who saw me waiting for the postmaster. Sevierville is a very nice community and the people there deserve better service than they are getting from this post office. I have posted a photo of our mailbox and several mailboxes in the same neighborhood. I am assuming mail is delivered to them, so I see absolutely no reason for the carrier to refuse to deliver to ours.

  Don't use this post office if anything is important they never deliver on time. They don't bring certified mail to your door they just leave a note and make u pick up at post office. I know this because I'm a stay at home dad. They also in the past 2 weeks and put 9 different pieces of mail addresses from other parts of the county in my mail box called and complained and the same thing happened again the next day. Which is not acceptable. If u want your packages delivered on time and to the right address you better use fed ex or ups
